DYER2JZ GT7 RACE CONTROL 1.2 ========================== An iRacing-inspired desktop workspace for your existing GT7 telemetry and OBS instruments. The app displays Gran Turismo 7 data from your PlayStation; it is not a standalone racing simulator or an official iRacing/Gran Turismo app. START ON WINDOWS 1. Extract the entire ZIP to a local folder. Do not run inside the ZIP. 2. Close the earlier GT7 app, overlay launcher or Python service first. 3. Open Windows/DYER2JZ_GT7.exe. Keep its app/runtime folders beside it. 4. Select Try demo to explore the labelled simulated feed. 5. For real driving, enter your PlayStation's LAN IPv4 address, select Connect to GT7, and enter a driving session in GT7. PC and console must share the same home network. If Windows asks about the bundled Python runtime, allow the Private network so the receiver can receive console packets. Requires Windows 10/11 x64 and Microsoft WebView2 Runtime. Python is bundled; no Python installation, command prompt or separately opened browser is needed. If the display runtime is missing, the app shows Install WebView2 and Retry. The included MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe is Microsoft's official online installer and needs internet access to download the display runtime. Finish that installer, then choose Retry. The application EXE is privately built and unsigned. It does not require an administrator account for normal use. WHAT CHANGED IN 1.2 - 20 manufacturer-inspired packs, all with circular Sport bezels in the same format as the Audi Sport instruments. Existing saved trim choices also render as circles. Speed/fuel and revs/tyres can use different skins. - A searchable skin collection and cleaner instrument setup controls. - Independent throttle, brake, speed, RPM and driving-path colours. Open Live telemetry > Trace colours, choose colours and select Save trace colours. Throttle/brake also update the dashboard inputs and the separate OBS trace. Saving a dial skin leaves these trace colours unchanged. - Smooth tyre colours from Cold through Mid-range and Warm to Hot. Open Garage & display > Instrument colours & tyre gradient to adjust all four colours and the cold/hot temperature limits. Save display settings. The same mapping drives the desktop, the rev dial and the tyre temperature overlay. Outside the configured range, colours clamp to Cold or Hot; the numeric reading continues to show the actual received temperature. - The temperature overlay now includes a gradient legend. Existing OBS URLs, Android companion and saved settings remain compatible. YOUR DESKTOP WORKSPACE - Dashboard: separate analogue speed/fuel and revs/tyres instruments, four live tyre temperatures, lap times, fuel estimates, inputs and packet status. - Live telemetry: observed throttle/brake and speed/RPM graphs, 10/20/30-second history, an observed X/Z driving trace and available vehicle signals. - Session & laps: up to 20 observed completed laps with differences to the session best, plus fuel strategy and manually entered track observations. - OBS overlays: all ten separate sources, live previews, fixed addresses, source dimensions and Copy URL. Existing OBS URLs remain unchanged. - Garage & display: 20 circular manufacturer-inspired packs, original + 10 circular dial and rev designs, colours, transparency, limiter flash, units and thresholds. Full setup opens every existing overlay control inside the same window. - Android companion: opt-in private-network sharing and eight-digit pairing. - Recordings: start/stop telemetry capture, saved CSV list, downloads and the local recordings folder. Focus display enlarges the two analogue clocks. OBS All existing sources continue to use http://127.0.0.1:8777 on this PC. Keep this app open while OBS uses the overlays. Use the size shown in the OBS overlays screen: 680 x 680 for square sources; 680 x 360 for wide sources. The original combined dashboard remains /overlay at 2560 x 1440. ANDROID The separate Android companion download on this website is the same 1.0.0 app as before and remains compatible. If it is already installed, keep using it. Android 8.0+ with an updated system WebView is required. On the PC, open Android companion, select this PC's private IPv4 address, and enable sharing. On the phone, enter that PC address and pairing code, not the PlayStation address. The phone and PC must share the same home network. Codes last ten minutes. Paired sessions last twelve hours. Disable sharing revokes all sessions. Sharing is off when the PC service starts. EXISTING SETTINGS AND RECORDINGS The same %LOCALAPPDATA%\DYER2JZ\GT7Desktop data folder is retained. If your original overlay settings are in another folder, choose Garage & display > Import earlier settings and select its settings.json file. CSV files stay under that data folder's recordings subfolder. Close the app normally to finish the current CSV and stop the receiver and companion. DATA LIMITS Tyre wear, track temperature and weather remain clearly labelled manual entries; this app does not invent live readings for those fields. GT7 car IDs are shown as IDs. It does not fabricate opponent positions, online race services, ratings or names. Fuel range/buffer are estimates from fully observed laps. The driving trace is built from received positions and is not an identified circuit map. Graphs clear on missing/stale feeds and restart on a new session/car; paused periods do not add graph data. The last 20 observed lap finishes stay only for the current session. CSV preserves data for later analysis. Demo is visibly labelled simulated throughout. TESTING Backend HTTP/telemetry tests, JavaScript history/overlay tests, DOM/HTTP/canvas interface checks and Windows PE/ABI validation are included. A full Windows GUI launch and a live PlayStation hardware test were not available here. Chromium layout rendering was unavailable in the build environment; interface behaviour was exercised with the actual HTML/JS in a DOM engine and native canvas instead. Read VALIDATION.txt for exact checks and limits. Receiver and interface source are included in Windows/app. The Android APK is a separate download on the website.
